Recently, the Fujian Provincial Academic Degree Committee and the Fujian Provincial Department of Education announced the 2016 name-list of professional master degree teaching case bases and joint training demonstration bases. “MTA Joint Training Demonstration Base” by PME was on the list as one of the Fujian Province Professional Mater Degree Joint Training Demonstration Bases. “MPAcc Core Courses Teaching Case Base”, “Project Management Professional Master Degree Teaching Case Base”, “Logistic Engineering Professional Master Degree Teaching Case Base”, “Engineering Management Professional Master Degree Teaching Case Base” and “MTA Teaching Case Base” were approved Fujian Province Professional Master Degree Teaching Case Bases.
Demonstration base is a talent training platform for higher education institutes to strengthen the practical ability of their professional master degree students, a main venue for the students to carry out professional practices, and an important carrier of the combination of production and academy. SMXMU’s MTA Joint Training Demonstration Base, because of its sound foundation, the close connection of industries and disciplines, the reliable guarantee of conditions and the distinctive characteristics of joint training, has been accepting students from SMXMU and received remarkable outcomes.
Case teaching is an important teaching method for professional master degree education. The 5 approved teaching case bases will help advance the construction of the professional master degree teaching system in accounting, engineering management, project management, logistics engineering and tourism administration.
SMXMU’s PME Center will continue to provide supports in aspects such as human resources and finance to build high-quality joint training bases and case bases. PME Center will deepen the reform of the training mode of professional degree education, better the policies and implements, give full play to the case base and joint training base in the reform of talent training mode, and improve the quality of professional master degree education.
