From July 15th to August 10th, 2019, at the invitation of the Government of Chengdu Economic Development Zone (Longquanyi District), a student delegation named “XIAZHIXINGHUO” from Xiamen University, along with the delegations from Tsinghua University, Peking University, Jilin University, Tongji University and Zhejiang University, travelled to Chengdu Economic Development Zone to be introduced and familiarized with the role of the local government in its communities.
Arranged by the local Organization Department and Youth League Committee, the members of “XIAZHIXINGHUO” and students from other universities carried out internships at different departments of the local government. During this period, students were offered by the local Youth League Committee, a wealth of additional activities that gave them an insight into Chengdu and the Economic Development Zone.
The experience provided the students from all the above universities with a great opportunity to get to know and communicate with each other. The internship reports of Liu Fupeng and Lan Xiangru, members of “XIAZHIXINGHUO” from Xiamen University, were rated as “Excellent”.
