Project background
Oxford University is the oldest university in the English-speaking world, with a history that can be traced back to the end of the eleventh century. From 2017 to 2021, it ranked first in the world for five consecutive years. Oxford University has a strong faculty, with 83 members of the Royal Society and 125 academicians of the British Academy of Sciences. In the nearly 900 years of history, Oxford has cultivated many outstanding leaders in various fields, including 6 British kings, 28 British prime ministers, more than 50 Nobel Prize winners and a large number of world-renowned literature experts and scientists, leading the world's most cutting-edge scientific research in many fields.
The OPGDI of Oxford University has united with colleagues in the academic community to specially prepare online courses. They are carefully designed for outstanding students to encourage students to apply for Oxford University Registered Visiting Student Program (VSP), master’s program and doctoral research. This core course lasts for three weeks. There is also an Oxford University Tutorial System course, which requires a separate application.
Basic information of the course
Course time: July 19-August 6, 2021 (Module A, Module B and Module C)
August 9-August 27, 2021 (Module D and Module E)
Registration deadline: May 18, 2021
Course structure: The course will consist of academic cross-courses, small-class seminars, expansion workshops, specially invited guest lectures and independent research studies.
Teaching format: All courses are taught live and recorded synchronously.
Provide Reading Materials and share Lecture Notes through the course interaction system and course exchange group.
Evaluation System: a) weekly test, b) completion report, c) group work display, d) attendance and other comprehensive evaluation.
Course completion: Successful completion of the course will receive a Program Certificate and Transcript. The course includes about 40 Contact Hours and 40 hours of self-study time, corresponding to 8 CATS credits, 4 ECTS credits, and 3 American academic credits.
Course fee: The original fee for the three-week course was £1,650. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Oxford Vision Project Office has waived part of this fee for students from domestic long-term partner universities.
(After reduction and exemption) The actual payment is: £1050 (approximately RMB 9000)
Application requirements: In order to ensure students' deep participation in course research and discussion, applicants need to meet the following basic requirements:
IELTS with minimum overall score of 6.0 or TOEFL with minimum overall score of 80.
If you do not have the above transcripts, you can provide other proofs of English proficiency (such as CET-4, CET-6, or college entrance examination results, etc.).
The Academic Office of the Project will review the applicant's qualifications or arrange an interview, and the Academic Office of OPGDI will have the final decision on the admission results.
