3-4 Nov. 2022
Newcastle University Business School Submission Deadline: 20th Sept. 2022
Overview:
The Tri-university annual conference is a joint initiative of Newcastle University Business School, Cardiff Business School, and School of Management of Xiamen University since 2015. The conference will run in a hybrid style with physical location at Newcastle University Business School and online streaming sessions for all international audience, between 3-4 Nov. 2022. The objective of this conference is to provide a platform for research collaboration and strengthen interactions between the three participating institutions. In addition to presentation and discussion of research papers and projects, we will also explore further cooperation in teaching, learning, and administrative training in the future.
Topics:
Due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, companies and markets are facing highly changeable environments and huge competitive pressure. International conflicts further impose huge risks on the global economy that’s yet to fully recover from the pandemic shock. Without a good mechanism to adapt to this complex environment, companies and markets are more likely to encounter financial difficulties, such as excessive liabilities, insufficient liquidity or even bankruptcy. These problems will not only adversely affect the sustainable development of economy, but also result in significant losses to investors, creditors, lenders, and other stakeholders.
We seek theoretical and empirical papers that shed light on new knowledge to enrich the literature on environmental sustainability and energy, green finance, ESG, CSR, asset pricing, market liquidity, corporate finance, corporate governance, and entrepreneurial finance in an international context. We also welcome the submissions of papers from interdisciplinary areas including accounting, economics, finance, business, logistics and operations research, management, marketing, strategy, and tourism. In addition to regular sessions, we will also have dedicated PhD sessions. Therefore, we encourage PhD students to submit their research papers. Please note that we only accept manuscripts in ENGLISH.
